Valerie Valvo

born April 19, 1961, has from an adolescent shown talent for color and perception. She studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh before graduation from high school. Earning a Scholarship to the Art Institute, she completed her degree in the field of Visual Communications and continued to study two more years in the field of fine arts. She keeps and open mind to the numerous avenues of art and never stops the learning process. Moving from Pittsburgh to Columbus, Ohio in 1986, Valerie became a member of the Columbus Art League and Delaware Art Guild. Her works of art were displayed at the Bench Work Gallery, Winter-Del Gallery, Copeland Gary Fine Arts Gallery and Design 436. Valerie has art on permanent display at the Powel Public Library, Ostrander Public Library, and Delaware County Public Library. Moving from Columbus to North Carolina in 1994 she became a member of the Charlotte Art League and displayed her art at the City Center Charlotte Art League Gallery. Currently she resides in Kings Mountain and is a member of the Southern Arts Society, Inc. and the Gaston County Art Guild. She has exhibited her works of art at Art-1, Cleveland Springs Art Gallery and currently at the Kings Mountain Art Center (SASI) Gallery. She is an award-winning artist with work through out the United States and Germany.
