Bring a CD to take home a free copy of GIMP or your LapTop to install and follow along. Gimp is an 'Open Source' Photoshop (sorta) Program for Photography. Ray will guide you through the basics of resizing photos with GIMP for the purpose of easy emailing them. Then he will go through some basic touch up techniques that can be used to restore an old family photograph or a snap shot that needs a powerline or something distracting removed. After explaining the ups and downs in digi photo resolution and retouching techniques he will go over some of the artistic properties that can enhance a photo to be printed or simply be used to create an image from scratch. Gimp is a great alternative to the $900.00-$1200.00 buckaroos program, Photoshop. If you wish to get started and have a decently fast internet connection go here-->...

ART-TIPS
Jewel Reavis has composed an outline of tips for the artist wishing to enter the world of 'showing' their work. This may be a useful guide to all of us, even the seasoned pro as a reminder of basic show rules and definition's, also some etiquette on how to respond to a possible dissatisfying rejection! A must read for everyone...
